'Best of British" concert at Alnwick Playhouse, Wednesday 29th Feb at 7.30.

An interesting rehearsal!!!
Stuck in the bar so a bit noisy.
Dropped 3 pieces that weren't up to the mark, so programme for wednesday night is shorter.
However better to do a good short performance than a rubbish longer one.
Looking forward to the gig.

1st Rehearsal of new term 09*01*12
Good turn out tonight for 1st rehearsal..almost 100% of members attending.
New oboe so we now have 2.
Tried out some new stuff...all went pretty well, even Sparkes Jubilee Overture.

Xmas 2011
Cracking gig at Bamburgh Castle on Sat 17/12/2011.
Freezing night, and a chilly windy walk up to the castle.
Full house, band played well.
Superb mulled wine and mince pies at half time.
Not much feedback from the Audience to A's jokes, nor could I hear much singing, but they seemed to enjoy it.
Last gig of the year, so nice to finish with a good one.
Other outside gigs were Alnwick Lights Switch On 25/11/2011.....freezing night

Ellington School Carol Concert...inside this time....appallingly bad jokes from the head!!
