Ellington School Fair

Much reduced band (15 players) played for school event.

We were outside and the rest of the events were inside.
Bit chilly, but the rain kept off
The punters came out to listen to us.

We played well and it seemed to be appreciated.
Played Teddy Bears Picnic twice...

Nice cup of tea and even yummier sticky carrot cake at half time.

Well done to all of those who participated.
and a special thanks to our new euphonium player who made it for half of the gig!!

Alnwick Playhouse Concert Band

'Best of British" concert at Alnwick Playhouse, Wednesday 29th Feb at 7.30.
Should be a good one.

Last night rehearsal

An interesting rehearsal!!!

Stuck in the bar so a bit noisy.

Dropped 3 pieces that weren't up to the mark, so programme for wednesday night is shorter.
However better to do a good short performance than a rubbish longer one.

Looking forward to the gig.

Concert Band

Decided today I would have a break and take August off from rehearsals.

May make a guest appearance as a hornist from time to time, but no more conducting rehearsals for me in August.

Will still conduct for the gigs tho.
